After years of testing and tweaking, pro angler Jason Christie has finally designed his perfect spinnerbait. Jason is widely regarded as the best spinnerbait fisherman of all time and while he is obsessed with spinnerbaits, he demands perfection when selecting them.
That’s why BOOYAH chose Jason Christie to create its Covert Series of spinnerbait.
Christie’s skirt and head colour combinations for specific situations, such as an orange or red head for early spring and high or dirty water, are featured in the line-up. White and chartreuse skirt patterns are used to complement and match the forage colours. Select spinnerbaits also have an orange kicker blade to help in low-visibility situations. A blade/colour combination has been created for every fishing situation you can think of and aside from the colour patterns, top quality Hildebrandt blades have been added to the lure for maximum flash and vibration.
The head is based on a traditional BOOYAH spinnerbait and includes a special raked-out gill to offset blade torque and keep the bait running true. The Covert Series also includes non-plated 17-7 stainless steel bronze wire for increased durability and to reduce blade vibration. The specialised wire also helps to prevent corrosion, and a wire form trailer keeper secures any extra soft plastics while the super sharp hook awaits the bite.
