New saltwater line is a cool customer

Cortland – one of the oldest makers of line in the US with a history going back to 1915 – has developed a range of striped bass lines geared towards cooler saltwater conditions, including the Striped Bass Float Fly Line.

  • What’s new? Built for cooler environments and performs best in temperatures between 30 to 70 degrees. Its PVC coating is designed to remain supple and memory free in the coldest conditions.
  • What’s it for? Targeting striped bass on the fly, alongside False Albacore, Bonito and Bluefish.
  • Give me some tech. Dual welded loops, ST Shooting Technology, X-strong core and Cold Salt coating.
  • Why is it two colours? The Aqua Green and Light Blue finish distinguishes taper change and easily identifies the prime loading point for casting.
