Unique hybrid body reduces landing impact

Jackall – one of the leading game fishing lure suppliers from Japan – introduced its latest saltwater creation at January’s Japan Fishing Festival.

The Jackall Mute Ball is described as a unique lure for high-pressured fishing spots where fish can be easily spooked. It comes in two variations – Pencil and Minnow.

  • What is unique about it? The hybrid body is made of hard plastic encased in a soft plastic which allows it to hit the water without frightening wary fish.
  • What is the Mute Ball Pencil used for? Surface fishing. It creates a weak, natural wave on top of the water.
  • What is the Mute Ball Minnow used for? Sub surface fishing – it is a stronger swimmer than the Pencil and boasts a wobbling action in stronger waves.
  • Give me the spec: Both are 38mm/2.7g and come in eight colours
