The baits that started a craze among pike anglers get an upgrade

Anglers took to the Slash Blade family from Sakura when they were launched last year. And Sert, the owner of the Sakura brand, revealed exclusively to Angling International’s editors in February that a new size and colours are on the way for 2022.

  • What’s new? A 75mm/13.7g model selected as a future best seller by Sakura Product Manager Franck Rosmann.
  • What’s it for? This small version is ideal for prospecting shallower waters like ponds and canals.
  • Who’s it for? Predator anglers across Europe. Pike is its target, but it’s also a useful tool for zander and perch.
  • Give me some tech? Equipped with a caudal blade, its realistic body is moulded in ‘safe PVC’, is non-toxic and devoid of Phthalates and Bispphenol A.
