‘Surprise’ big sellers are now more specialised
Savage Gear’s developers loved these green rods when they were ready for launch, ‘but the big question was how anglers would react,’ says the Danish company’s head of product, Thomas Sanotra. Certain styles are for both spinning and baitcasting set-ups.
- Why are Savage Gear so confident? The original SG4 rods sold in huge numbers in 2021. But research at Savage Gear points to a trend for rods that suit more particular styles of fishing. The new rods fit that perfectly.
