Shimano continues light jigging reel expansion
Light jigging reels are becoming all the rage Down Under and Shimano Australia has responded to that with the addition of the Genpu XT.
The iconic reel brand says that its compact design means it fits comfortably in the hand to maximise the fun of fishing.
- What’s it designed for? Specifically for vertical fishing styles that include micro jigging or bait fishing.
- Give me some tech. Highly corrosion-resistant Shimano S ARB bearings and Super Free bearing supported pinion system to eliminate friction.
- How many reels are in the range? Three. XT 150, XT 200PG and XT201PG – all retailing at $199 (au).
- What rods are they compatible with? A number of light overhead rods within the Shimano range, including the Jewel 21JL6101BUKU and 21JL661SLOW, and the Maikuro II20MK662OHSJ.
