InfinityXross debuts in Stella FK

Shimano has a history of creating high-precision gears, and its brand-new InfinityXross system, which debuts in the Stella FK reel family, continues that tradition. By horizontally expanding the drive gear tooth, InfinityXross more effectively distributes load between the drive gear and pinion gear. The InfinityXross system from provides unmatched gear durability by dispersing contact points over a larger surface area, enhancing reel performance and longevity. According to Jeff “Gussy” Gustafson, a Bassmaster Elite Series pro, he states – “I want to utilise the greatest equipment available, and it needs to be robust.” “The new Stella FK’s build quality, tightness, stiffness, and tolerances are just superb.”

“We caught some really big fish in a few of the smallmouth tournaments this year – five or six pounders – and a lot of times using small hooks, light line and finesse techniques,” notes Gustafson, a Champion on the Bassmaster Elite Series and a leading authority on capturing supersized bronze bass. “Having an ultra-smooth drag coupled with great winding efficiency is critical. After using the new Stella FK, I can’t imagine fishing anything else – especially for finesse presentations.”

“I truly believe Stella is the best spinning reel available.”

Infinity Drive

Shimano’s cutting-edge Infinity Drive system is at the heart of the new Stella FK. The system features a unique low-friction bushing that significantly reduces frictional resistance, delivering a smoother and more powerful winding experience. It was passed down from Stella’s larger saltwater brethren and makes its debut in the industry’s finest spinning reel built for a variety of freshwater and inshore applications. A proprietary surface treatment on the main shaft, combined with special processing, drastically reduces rotational torque, resulting in a reel that can actively wind even under heavy loads, which greatly benefits anglers when fighting stubborn game fish.

DuraCross

Shimano’s new DuraCross drag system strengthens the Stella FK family with increased run-stopping power and extreme durability. In comparison to traditional drag washers, revolutionary DuraCross washers incorporate cutting-edge materials woven in a unique pattern. The DuraCross system mimics the feel and operation of felt washers while being ten times more durable. Anglers now have the upper hand in every battle thanks to Stella FK’s new DuraCross drag.

InfinityLoop

Shimano’s new InfinityLoop line management system is one of Gustafson’s favourite features of the Stella FK. He says – “InfinityLoop allows the spool to move up and down at an extremely slow speed, resulting in a precise, uniform, and parallel winding pattern.” Line comes off the spool super smooth with each cast. It’s quite noticeable.” InfinityLoop ensures the line lays as evenly as possible on the spool by extending spool oscillation during the retrieve, virtually eliminating gaps and line stacking during the retrieve. Anglers benefit from InfinityLoop on every cast because smooth and even line lay results in less friction as the line exits the spool, resulting in significantly increased casting distance.

HAGANE

All of the best-in-class innovations that pervade the Stella FK family are supported by a foundation of premium technologies. Stella FK’s durability is enhanced by a lightweight and robust magnesium HAGANE Body and a cold-forged HAGANE Gear. The reel’s MicroModule II gear tooth refinements and SilentDrive system make reeling incredibly smooth and quiet. Stella’s extreme water resistance is enhanced by Shimano’s X-Protect system and shielded S A-RB bearings. No other spinning reel can boast a more illustrious history or a more promising future.
