Award winners five years in the making
The all-new Abel Nippers from Abel has already been deemed a winner by US retailers in the fly fishing industry.
They were acclaimed Best Accessory over $50 at the reconvened IFTD Show in Salt Lake City last month.
- What’s special about them? Abel Director of Sales, Jeff Patterson and Director of Engineering, Rob Hauck, revealed that the latest Nippers model has been over five years in the making. Made in the USA.
- What’s the history? Abel says it set the bar for high-end nippers when the original made its debut in 2007 as the only product of its kind available with dual cutting surfaces able to be used on everything from 8X tippet to braid.
- What’s new about them? They come with new ergonomics and Mll Spec Type III anodised, machined 7075 aluminium body as well as a brand new magnetic spring that keep the jaws open without a hinge.
- When and where will they be available? At the end of the month at Abel dealers.
