Bidding goodbye to awkward angles

Iconic Japanese terminal tackle brand Gamakatsu has bid goodbye to awkward angles and hello to an ergonomic pair of pliers.

It has added a 45-degree angle on its new nine-inch version to provide a comfortable position for all types of tasks. Like all pliers from Gamakatsu, they are made of stainless steel with a PTFE coating to make them corrosion-resistant. The plastic is sprayed on and baked to create a non-stick, waterproof, non-corrosive and non-reactive surface. The handles are also non-slip.

They also boast precise crimping jaws to fit various sizes of sleeves and a precision split ring feature on the needle nose. The multi-tasking jaw uses an outside cutter to deal with mono, braid or fluorocarbon.

Included with the pliers are a lanyard and black nylon sheath.

Standout features include

  • Precise crimping jaws
  • Split ring feature
  • Outside cutter
  • Comes with lanyard and sheath
  • 45-degree angle provides a comfortable position for a variety of tasks
  • Made of stainless steel
  • Non-slip grip for wet conditions
