New kid on the skipping lure block

Skipping lures used to be the domain of larger sized baits – not any more.

Svendsen predator brand, Savage Gear, has introduced the Micro Skipper – described by Thomas Sanotra, Director of Product and Marketing at the company, as a ‘game-changer’.

  • What’s new? The Micro Skipper replicates a small fish flying on the surface and creates the necessary visual and vibrating effect that triggers strikes.
  • What’s it for? Attracting top saltwater predators that include Mackerel, Seabass and Needle Fish.
  • What are the stand-out features? It has a feather attached to a ‘formidable UV red and white treble hook and flashing threads to boost strikes.
  • Give me some tech. Measures 4cm and weighs 5gr for light rock fishing (LRF) and 6cm (9gr) for light game fishing (LGF).
